
Francesca Dominguez is a choreographer based in New York City. Rooted in task-based and anatomy-informed practices, her work draws from the body’s capacity to sense, disrupt, and reorganize. She holds an MFA in Dance from Hunter College, where she received the Shuster Award for Outstanding Master’s Thesis. In 2022, she premiered an evening-length work at Gibney Dance Theater and was a selected choreographer for Doug Varone’s Devices program. She received a grant and performance residency from The Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning in 2023 and completed a commission for the Barnard/Columbia Dance Department in 2024. In spring 2025, she was invited to join a shared performance program presented by La MaMa. Her teaching practice spans institutions such as Gibney Dance Center, Barnard/Columbia, Juilliard, Marymount Manhattan, Mark Morris, and Peridance. She is informed by her training at LINES Ballet, CSU Long Beach, and her study and certification in Countertechnique.
